Azure Stack HCI: Convert a Static Host Pool to Dynamic

Note: At this time Nerdio Manager cannot automatically import and manage existing host pools on Azure Stack HCI. Please contact the Nerdio support team for guidance on how to achieve this capability.

The following procedure allows to a user to convert a static Azure Stack HCI host pool to a dynamic host pool. The dynamic host pool can then be configured for auto-scaling.

To convert a static Azure Stack HCI host pool to dynamic:

  1. Locate the Azure Stack HCI host pool you wish to convert.

  2. Select Convert to Dynamic.

  3. On the confirmation window, select Confirm.

    Note: By default, the auto-scale option for this host pool is off. This new host pool has no user sessions. You can manually add and remove hosts to and from the pool. Alternatively, you can enable auto-scale. See the following for details:
