Import and export remote applications

Nerdio Manager allows you to import and export remote applications.

Export remote applications

Nerdio Manager allows you to export remote applications to either a JSON file or a host pool.

To export remote applications:

  1. Select the host pool you want to work with. This is a host pool configured for the RemoteApp (Pooled) desktop experience.

  2. From the more options menu, select ApplicationsRemoteApps.

  3. Select the application(s) you want to export. You can select applications individually by selecting them, or select them all. By default all applications are selected.

  4. From the options at the bottom of the page, select .

  5. In the Export List of Remote Applications dialog box, enter the following information:

    • Export to: From the drop-down list, select the export destination.

      Note: When exporting to a JSON file, the file is downloaded to the browser's default download folder.

    • Destination host pool: When exporting to a host pool, from the drop-down list, select the host pool.

    • Application group: When exporting to a host pool, from the drop-down list, select the host pool's application group.

  6. Once you have entered all the desired information, select OK.

The remote application export process starts.

Import remote applications

Nerdio Manager allows you to import remote applications that were previously exported in a JSON file or from a host pool.

To import remote applications from a JSON file:

  1. Select the host pool you want to work with. This is a host pool configured for the RemoteApp (Pooled) desktop experience.

  2. From the more options menu, select ApplicationsRemoteApps.

  3. From the options at the bottom of the page, select .

  4. Enter the following information:

    • Import to app group: From the drop-down list, select the app group. If you select Selected individually, then you can select the app group for each application to be imported, individually.

    • Import from: From the drop-down list, select JSON file.

    • JSON file: When importing from a JSON file, select the file.

      Note: If you selected Selected individually, in the App Group column, from the drop-down list, select the app group.

  5. Once you have entered all the desired information, select Import (x) application where (x) is the number of applications being imported.

The remote applications import process starts.

Note: If applications have been imported which are not detected on the host pool, a warning is displayed for those applications. This warning can be resolved by installing the application to the host pool and importing the applications into the pool.

To import remote applications from a host pool:

  1. Select the host pool you want to work with. This is a host pool configured for the RemoteApp (Pooled) desktop experience.

  2. From the more options menu, select ApplicationsRemoteApps.

  3. From the options at the bottom of the page, select .

  4. Enter the following information:

    • Import to app group: From the drop-down list, select the app group. If you select Selected individually, then you can select the app group for each application to be imported, individually.

    • Import from: From the drop-down list, select Host pool.

    • Host pool: From the drop-down list, select the host pool.

      Note: If you selected Selected individually, in the App Group column, from the drop-down list, select the app group.

  1. Once you have entered all the desired information, select Import (x) application where (x) is the number of applications being imported.

The remote applications import process starts.
