Configure Microsoft Teams Notifications Using Webhooks
Starting from v6.3, Nerdio Manager allows users to send notifications to webhooks in addition to traditional email notifications. One of the supported payload formats is the Teams Adaptive Cards format, enabling seamless integration with Microsoft Teams channels or chats. By following these steps, you can successfully configure notifications to be sent directly to your Microsoft Teams channels using webhooks in Nerdio Manager.
Configure Microsoft Teams
The following steps are required to configure Microsoft Teams to be able to send notifications to Teams.
Note:
Note: Ensure the selected channel is Standard because Private channels prevent the Teams bot from posting messages.
To send notifications to Microsoft Teams:
Open Microsoft Teams on your device.
Select the channel where you intend to receive notifications.
Select the three dots (...) next to the channel name.
Select Workflows.
From the list of Workflow templates, select Post to a chat when a webhook request is received.
Enter the following information:
Name: Type the desired workflow name. Provide a Workflow name.
Connections: Check and edit the connection to Teams.
Note: This connection is used to post notifications to the channel.
Once you have entered all the desired information, select Next.
On the next page, confirm the details and select Add workflow.
Copy and save the webhook URL displayed on the last page.
Note: You are not able to retrieve the webhook URL later, so be sure to copy and save it.
Link the Webhook to Nerdio Manager
The next step is to link the webhook to Nerdio Manager.
To link the webhook to Nerdio Manager:
In Nerdio Manager, navigate to Settings > Nerdio environment.
In the Email and webhook notifications tile, select Link webhook.
Enter the following information:
Webhook name: Type the name of the webhook.
Endpoint URL: Paste the URL provided by Teams when you created the webhook.
Payload: From the drop-down list, select Microsoft Teams adaptive card.
Auth scheme: From the drop-down list, select None.
Once you have entered all the desired information, select Save.
Manage Microsoft Teams Workflows
Once Microsoft Teams workflows are created, they can be changed and deleted.
To manage Microsoft Teams workflows:
Open Microsoft Teams on your device.
Select the channel you want to manage.
Select the three dots (...) next to the channel name.
Select Workflows.
At the bottom, select Manage.
Locate the workflow you wish to manage and select the three dots (...).
Select the desired action (edit, delete, etc.).
