Nerdio Manager Winget Repository .NET Framework Support

Nerdio Manager Winget Repository .NET Framework Support

Microsoft is ending support for .NET 6 in November 2024. The released statement is below:

In alignment with the end of community support, on 12 November 2024, support for .NET 6 in Azure Functions will end. Your apps that are hosted on Functions will continue to run, but security updates will no longer be available and we'll no longer provide customer service for .NET 6. Learn more about Azure Functions stack version support.

Nerdio Manager’s private Winget creation feature makes use of the Microsoft WinGet-CLI project and its associated functions. This project currently uses the .NET 6 framework.

Until the project publishes, a .NET 8 based revision, Nerdio Manager will continue to make use of the available .NET 6 release. However, we plan to upgrade our product as soon as a .NET 8 based release has been incorporated and tested. The .NET 6 based release will continue to function normally until this time.

We thank customers for their patience on this matter. Please contact the Nerdio Support team if you have any further questions in relation to this.
