Desktop Images Manage Versions

Nerdio Manager allows you to manage Azure Compute Gallery (ACG) Desktop Image versions. You may manually manage the versions or have Nerdio Manager automatically manage the versions.

Manually Manage Versions

Nerdio Manager allows you to manually manage desktop image versions.

To manually manage ACG desktop image versions:

1. Navigate to Desktop Images.

2. Locate the ACG desktop image that you wish to work with.

3. From the action menu, select the Manage versions.

   

4. Optionally, from the drop-down list, select the type(s) you want to display.

5. Select the version(s) you wish to delete.

   Note: Managed versions cannot be deleted.

6. Once you have selected all the desired version(s) to delete, select Delete x selected.

Automatically Manage Versions

Nerdio Manager allows you to specify the maximum number of backup image versions to retain. When a new image version is created and the old one is saved as a backup, the system automatically manages and limits the number of these backups according to the specified limit. If the limit is reached, the oldest version is deleted.

To automatically manage ACG desktop image versions:

1. Navigate to Desktop Images.

2. Locate the ACG desktop image that you wish to work with.

3. From the action menu, select the Manage versions.

   

4. Enter the following information:

   • Enable Version Limit: Toggle this option On.

   • Backup Version Limit: Type the backup version limit.

5. Once you entered the desired information, select Save.
