Insights: Health

Nerdio Manager's Health page provides insights into the overall health of your Nerdio Manager and Azure environment.

To view health insights:

  1. In Nerdio Manager, navigate to Insights > Health.

    The Health page provides dashlets reflecting a specific component in your environment with relevant data for the last 30 days.

  2. For dashlets, you can do the following:

    • Export as CSV : Select to download the data as a CSV file.

    • Expand : Select to view the dashlet full screen.

    • Refresh : Select to refresh the data in the dashlet.

    • Info : Select to review the tooltip.

    • View metadata : Select to view metadata in a separate dialog box. Not available for the Nerdio Components Health and Monitoring Agent dashlets.

    • Hover over: Hover over a dashlet to view details for a specific point in time.

    • Drill down: For the Nerdio Components Health dashlet, select the status box to view detailed component status. For the Monitoring Agent dashlet, select a chart segment to view the corresponding host list.

The following health insights are available:

Nerdio components health

This dashlet provides insights into components that impact the operation and performance of Nerdio Manager. It displays metrics using a red (unhealthy), amber (warning), and green (healthy) (RAG) status to indicate the overall health of the environment.

Select the info icon next to a component's status to view how the RAG status is defined. For example, selecting the info icon for App service displays the following information:

View detailed component status by selecting the status box next to the component. For example, to check the App Service status, select unhealthy next to App service. Hover over a point on the graph to view the percentage details for a specific date and time.

Monitoring agent

This dashlet identifies hosts running the Azure Monitor Agent, any hosts still running the legacy Microsoft Monitoring Agent, and hosts without any monitoring agent. Select a chart segment to view the corresponding host list.

Connection health

This dashlet displays failed versus successful connections over the past seven days. The data is presented as a donut chart, displaying the number and percentage of failed and successful connections, along with a graph that provides details about the date and time of each failed or successful connection when you hover over a spike.

App Service plan CPU usage

This dashlet displays the CPU usage percentage for the Nerdio Manager App Service over the past seven days. Hover over a point on the graph to view the percentage details for a specific date and time.

Databases CPU usage

This dashlet displays the CPU usage percentage for the Nerdio Manager databases over the past seven days. Hover over a point on the graph to view the percentage details for a specific date and time.

App Service plan memory usage

This dashlet displays the memory usage percentage for the Nerdio Manager App Service over the past seven days. Hover over a point on the graph to display the percentage details for a specific date and time.

Databases DTU usage

This dashlet displays the Database Transaction Unit (DTU ) usage percentage for the Nerdio Manager databases over the past seven days.

Note: DTU usage measures database performance by combining CPU, memory, and I/O resources. It is expressed as a percentage of the allocated DTU capacity.

Hover over a point on the graph to view the percentage details for a specific date and time.

App Service plan data

This dashlet displays the data in and data out (in MB) for the Nerdio Manager service application over the past seven days. Hover over a point on the graph to view the data (in MB) for a specific date and time.

Databases successful connections

This dashlet displays the number of successful connections to the Nerdio Manager databases over the past seven days. Hover over a point on the graph to view the number of successful connections for a specific date and time.
