Rules: Platform TCO (AVD personal)

Nerdio Manager allows you to create rules based on using an analyzer that makes recommendations for platform TCO (AVD personal) desktops.

To create a platform TCO (AVD personal) rule:

  1. Navigate to Advisor > Rules.

  2. Select Add rule.

  3. Toggle the rule On or Off.

  4. Enter the following information:

    • Name: Type a friendly name for this rule set.

    • Description: Type a description for this rule set.

    • Analyzers: From the drop-down list, select Platform TCO (AVD personal).

    • Platform TCO (AVD personal) settings:Enter the following information:

      • Name: Type a name for this rule set.

      • Target Platform(s): This will already be set to Windows 365 Enterprise.

    • Nerdio Manager License: Select to include Nerdio Manage licensing costs in the analysis. You can change the default cost values if required.

  5. Expand the Features that impact the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) section. This section allows you to quantify the costs of features that may differ between your source and target platforms. Select the costs you want to include, and if required, you can change the cost values to suit your requirements.

  6. Select if you want to enter your own customized cost(s).

    Note: The preset cost values have been calculated using a number of industry sources and represent the average cost for each component based upon that research and feedback. You can enter your own cost values to provide an analysis based more closely on your requirements.

  7. Select OK to save the new rule.

Manage existing rules

Nerdio Manager allows you to change, delete, disable, and clone existing rules. In addition, you may force an existing rule to be executed.

To manage an existing rule:

  1. Navigate to AdvisorRules.

  2. Locate the rule you wish to work with.

  3. From the action menu, select one of the following options:

    • Edit: Change an existing rule.

    • Delete: Delete an existing rule.

    • Disable: Disable an existing rule.

    • Clone: Clone an existing rule.

    • Force: Force an existing rule to be executed.
