This document discusses the most frequently asked questions.

How do I enable Console Connect?

  1. Navigate to Settings and select from the following:

    • Classic UI: Select Integrations,and then scroll down, to the Console Connect tile

    • New UI: Select Environment and then select the Integrations tab from the top. Scroll down and expand the Console Connect section.

  2. Select the Disabled toggle to enable Console Connect.

You will be able to select the initial deployment to hostpools, Windows365 devices, and physical endpoints. Use this process to update the configurations as required.

I just connected to someone’s session, and they didn’t get an authorization prompt first

A previous technician may have closed the Console Connect browser tab without exiting the session first and you have recently rejoined the existing session. Ensure that under that you have enabled the Session confirmation option in the settings section.

Does the session automatically reconnect after the device is rebooted?

Yes. If, the technician keeps the Console Connect browser tab open, the session automatically reconnects after the user signs back in.

Is there a limit to how long a session can be left open for?

No. As long as the session is connected, and the device has access to the internet, the session can remain open.

Can I record the session?

No. Currently, session recording is not available.

Can I run scripts with Console Connect?

Yes and No.Yes, you can run PowerShell script files. No, you cannot run Nerdio scripted actions from within the Console Connect Session.

Why do I see Zoho or Zoho Assist?

We have partnered with Zoho to use Zoho Assist to power Console Connect functionality. The Zoho branding is still displayed in some places such as executable names, some UI elements, and in required networking.

Can I use Console Connect for non-Nerdio managed endpoints?

No. To be able to connect to a device using Console Connect, it needs to be managed by Nerdio Manager.

Can I get the Console Connect Agent Installer?

No. Due to licensing restrictions, the installer is only able to be deployed using Nerdio Manager.

Are performed tasks logged during an active session?

Currently, no. Any tasks performed during the session are not logged.
