Pre-staging with User-Driven Mode on Single Session Pools

I'd like to have the option for Pre-staging with User-Driven Mode on Single Session Pools. The reason is "Start VM on Connect" can sometimes take 5-10 minutes to complete and occasionally the session doesn't connect on the first attempt.   I want all assigned machines in a host pool to power on at the start of the day and then any that do not have connections to power off after 2 hours.  I also want the option to set it to Continuously power them off if someone reconnects and then logs off again.

Hi Roger Stuart! thanks for this suggestion. 

Have you tried a schedule based approach with working hours configured? In this configuration, hosts will be started and available during the working hours schedule, however you can configure this to be brief (as in the below example). Once outside of working hours, you have the option to configure the scaling aggressiveness and power off behavior which should meet your requirements. 

If this feature doesn't work the way you need it to, it would be great to understand what is missing.
