Currently using Auto-shrink, we can delete desktops if they have not been logged onto for x number of days. It would be a great feature to extend this capability to look at the status of the assigned user desktop in EntraID, and if the account is either deleted or disabled, the desktop will be unassigned and deleted, or just unassigned. This could also be applicate to Windows 365 also.
Automatically delete persistent AVD Desktops if the EntraID account is disabled or deleted
great feature request. Like the idea to complete and automate the offboarding process :-)
Disabled is dangerous in my opinion. But no longer assigned or user no longer available would also make sense. But this with a delay, because if the group is accidentally removed, or even during a change, the VM should not be deleted immediately. Perhaps there should also be an option to configure the delay here.
Good point Stefan, With Nerdio we can run a test each day, and if the test for the assigned user fails 3 times for example, the VM can be deleted.
I'm not opposed to allowing this if disabled or deleted, but I'd also ideally like the ability to choose to remove their machine if they no longer have access to the host pool via the Entra group or manually assigned (with a wait of X days before deleting).
