By creating Shell Apps there is no option to set a version. All Shell Apps have a version of [1.0] showing up after the name in the Deployment Policies pane while adding or at choosing an app to deploy directly to a VM.
It would be helpful to set a version for Shell Apps to differentiate several app versions or updated scripts. Furthermore would be a variable refering to the version a helpful feature, so it is possible to use this within the scripts, especially the Detect script.
