Get this error attempting to add a storage account\share\AD. Checked the app registration owner roles\permission and the user performing the task is an owner and global admin.
Cannot give Owner role to App on storage account.

Can you check what permissions the service principal of Nerdio has on the resource group with the Sorage account?
Usually the Service Principal is Contributor, but that will not be enough for this action, try Owner as well. Your authorizations are not used to perform this action.
