There is currently no way to simply view all the autoscale configured settings, without being in the settings page which allows you to also edit/change any setting. An example of another product which gives you two options: the SCCM console allows you to both view a task sequence, or edit a task sequence. It eliminates the risk of changes being made by accident when trying to simply view or evaluate what is configured.
This could be achieved in two ways:
- In the Autoscale menu for a host pool, you could offer two links:
- Configure autoscale - existing page
- View autoscale settings - same page as above but all fields are locked and just there for viewing
- This option adds the additional menu item, and would mean users can click on either; but if they are viewing something and then want to edit, they would have to go back to the menu to browse to the Configure page
- Or you could make the ‘Configure autoscale' page open by default in read/view where all fields are locked
- At the top where the autoscale toggle is, you could have an Edit button which unlocks the page
- This option doesn't change the menu items, but users may not like how by default it is always on View mode unless you click Edit - could be good for some and not for others.
- If you went this path, perhaps make it a setting within Nerdio if you want the page to open as View or Edit by default - allow each organisation to make the choice
