Automated self heal options for VMs showing as "Unhealthy"

With Entra ID joined VMs, we occasionally see VMs move into “Unhealthy” state.  At this point, the VM is removed from the AVD pool and no longer “managed”.    Any VMs in this state will show in a highlighted “Unhealthy VMs” list at the top of each VM view.   Once a VM is in this state, it remains there (and accruing cost in Azure) until manual action (usually selecting the Delete option) is taken.

We need the ability to define “auto-heal” like capabilities that would interact with VMs that are in this state.   Additionally, the ability to configure notifications for, and generate reports on, VMs that enter this state (including via the API).

Team,   I have seen no further updates on this.   Can you please confirm if this is under consideration?

Hi Dave Tibolla - Thank you for raising this.

We will investigate what is feasible regarding the “Unhealthy VM” state. I agree we can improve the awareness of when this occurs.

Have a great day!
