Show estimated additional costs when activating Intune

Before I activate Intune, I would be interested to know what the potential additional costs would be. On the one hand, there is Azure consumption, and on the other hand, there is the additional number of Nerdio licenses for Intune for users who do not already have a license via AVD or Windows 365. To determine this, we would first need to find out which devices are used by other users.

I'm not sure if this can be built into Nerdio or if documentation with query examples is needed to describe how this information can be determined. Because we have a bit of a problem here: without activating Intune, we don't have the data. But perhaps it could be read out via a logged-in user, as long as they have the necessary rights in Intune. Azure consumption can certainly be used to estimate the additional costs per user based on experience, but it is sufficient for an estimate.

I’ll capture this request and look into how quickly we could estimate the impacted device/user count based on Device Visibility scopes. I suspect that it would take longer than acceptable to put it inline during the process. We may be able to add a “What If” button that runs the query/ calculations to shows the net new users Physical endpoint/Intune users that would be brought into scope, also showing the current AVD users that are included in the scope which can be enabled at no extra cost.
