Request to Extend Image Selection Functionality to the "Create Desktop" Feature

In the current implementation of the Reimage feature within the user portal, administrators can configure multiple images for users to choose from when reimaging their virtual machines. We would like to extend this same functionality to the Create Desktop feature.

Specifically, when a user accesses the portal and selects Create Desktop, they are currently able to choose the desired desktop pool. We propose enhancing this workflow by allowing users to also select from a list of available images, similar to the Reimage experience.

On the administrative side, the portal configuration should support the selection of multiple images to be made available under the Create Desktop feature. This would mirror the existing configuration options for the Reimage feature, ensuring consistency and improving user flexibility during VM creation.

Hi Florian, thank you for the feedback.
The Create Desktop feature is currently leveraged for personal host pools that have Auto-scale enabled and is used only for assigned users who do not already have a desktop created. 
That way, these users can create desktops based on the desktop image currently selected within the host pools' Auto-scale template.
Do you foresee end users needing to deviate from the template desktop image from the start?

Hi Raul. Yes, the intention is for users to create a machine using a different image from the one configured in autoscale, from the start. We have a use case like this that would benefit from this option at this moment. We have like 7 pools where a small subset of users need a different image on each of them. Having this feature would help a lot. Currently, we tell them to reimage to the second image after they get a machine assigned. The other option would be to create a second pool for all of them but that would mean another 7 pools to manage for something that can be resolved easier.
