Support for Migrating a User’s VM from Dynamic to Static Host Pool in AVD

We have scenarios where a user’s personal session host in a Dynamic Host Pool needs to be reassigned to a Static (Personal) Host Pool for dedicated use. Currently, there is no supported method to move or convert an existing VM between these host pool types.

Adding this capability would:

  • Allow seamless reassignment of users who require dedicated resources.
  • Reduce the need to reprovision VMs and manually migrate user profiles/data.
  • Support VIP users, service accounts, and other special-use cases without disrupting host pool management policies.
