Problem: Currently, when RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) is assigned to the Insights feature, it applies globally. This limits our ability to provide different teams visibility only into the workspaces relevant to them. For example, the Finance team should see insights for finance workspaces, and the IT team for IT workspaces, without having access to each other's data.
Description: This feature request is to enhance the Insights RBAC model by allowing administrators to assign access at the individual workspace or group-of-workspaces level. This will enable precise, team-specific visibility within the Insights module.
Vision: In the Nerdio Manager admin console, when assigning a role with Insights permissions, the administrator should have an additional option to restrict those permissions. Instead of a global "Insights" checkbox, there would be an "Insights" section with a dropdown or selector to choose between "All Workspaces" or "Selected Workspaces." If "Selected Workspaces" is chosen, a multi-select list of available workspaces would appear. The user with that role would then only see Insights data (dashboards, reports, costs, performance) for the workspaces they are explicitly granted. This mirrors the granularity available in other parts of the console for resource management.
