Environment: Azure
Request:The customer would like Nerdio to support assigning and managing Application Security Groups (ASGs) directly within the platform for individual session hosts.
Background & Rationale:
ASGs function as “tags” or “labels” applied to virtual machines, and when used in combination with Network Security Groups (NSGs), they control which services a session host can communicate with. Since Nerdio can create, replace, and manage session hosts, it would be beneficial for the platform to also handle ASG assignment.
Currently, when Nerdio deletes and recreates a VM, the ASG association is lost and not automatically re‑applied. This requires manual intervention and can disrupt expected network behavior.
Requested Enhancement:
Enable Nerdio to assign ASGs to session hosts during creation and ensure those ASGs persist or are automatically re‑applied whenever Nerdio replaces a VM.
