There is no option to be notified when a new burst host is created. There is only the option to be notified when a new host is added (Add host), but this is not helpful for being notified about burst, as the email/Teams notifications look exactly the same (same wording) whether it is creating a new host (e.g. auto-heal delete and re-create from auto-scale) or if creating a new burst host.
As you can see in the image below, no options are available for the search term "burst":
We have host pools that have burst frequently, but we don't know that it's happening. We have new host notifications enabled, but delete and recreate by auto-scale occurs frequently enough that those notifications are treated as spam/used for reactive troubleshooting.
We would use burst notifications to be made aware of a host pool that is frequently bursting so that we could increase it's base host capacity.
