Scripted Sequences is a great function. As an alternative to SCCM/Intune to build Desktop Images it would be advantageous to include the option to use these to build the Desktop Image.
Functions within it are perfect to install apps, run scripts, restart, add regkeys etc but unfortunately it is unable to be used to remove the need for SCCM/Intune.

I fully agree - the feature is not a replacement for SCCM/MDT for image management at this point. We are continuing to build functionality for this feature. A key objective is to allow sequences to be called automatically (for example, during AVD host builds).
We certainly plan to allow the deployment of sequences during image management operations, its something we will look to focus on later in the year.
