Currently Application Groups and Scripted Action Groups are used for deploying in various workloads.
The Scripted Sequences is a great way to help build the VMs but at the moment can only add individual apps or scrpted actions as part of the various steps.
Would be great to be able to use the existing app groups/scripted action groups as a step within the Scripted Sequences
Hi Keegan Shearer - I happy to say that the ‘run scripted action’ task was added in the 8.0 release, so this should be available if you upgrade to 8.0.
App groups & scripted action groups are more challenging - as scripted sequences is designed to be a ‘per task’ feature (with a pass/fail outcome for each), existing ‘groups’ may cause us a problem if for example, 1 app or 1 scripted action in the group fails, but the rest succeed. This is something we can investigate as we add more intelligence to the sequences, allowing for the admin to proactively decide what the outcome should be in this scenario.
