[en] Windows 365 Flex in Shared mode provisions pooled, non-persistent Cloud PCs that a group of users share, rather than assigning one Cloud PC to one person. Because a user may land on a different underlying Cloud PC each time they sign in, Microsoft User Experience Sync provides a lightweight user settings and portability solution that functions as a lightweight analog to FSLogix services on AVD. When enabled on a provisioning policy, each assigned user receives their own pooled storage in the Microsoft Cloud, so their Windows personalization, application settings, and application data follow them from one shared Cloud PC session to the next.
[en] This topic describes how to configure and manage User Experience Sync on a Windows 365 Flex Shared mode provisioning policy in Nerdio Manager.

[en] In Nerdio Manager, navigate to Cloud Desktops › Windows 365 › Flex Shared.

[en] Select the Provisioning Policies tab.
[en] The tab displays the existing Flex Shared provisioning policies, along with an option to create a new one.

[en] Select New policy to create a new provisioning policy, or open an existing one for editing.
[en] A dialog opens titled Create Provisioning Policy (or Edit Provisioning Policy, if editing an existing policy).

[en] Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the policy.

[en] In the License type field, select Flex, and in the field below it, select Shared mode.

[en] In the Cloud PC image field, select the Windows image you want to deploy to the shared Cloud PCs.

[en] Configure the network connection settings: select the network type, the Azure region, and the connection option appropriate for your environment.

[en] Optionally, select the Use Microsoft Entra single sign-on checkbox to enable single sign-on for Cloud PC sessions.

[en] In the Windows 365 license assignment mode field, select Manual or Automatic, depending on how you want Cloud PC licenses assigned to users.

[en] Select the Enabled checkbox next to User experience sync to turn on the feature for this policy.
[en] A field appears below it for selecting the amount of storage allocated to each user's synced settings.

[en] In the storage size field, select the amount of pooled user storage you want to allocate for this policy.

[en] Under Manual Entra ID Group Assignments, in the Add New Assignment section, select the group(s) to which you want to assign the policy.

[en] In the Cloud PC size field, select the hardware configuration (vCPU, memory, and storage) to provision for Cloud PCs assigned to this group.

[en] Enter a descriptive name for the assignment in the Assignment name field, and specify the number of Cloud PCs to provision in the Number of Cloud PCs field.

[en] Select Assign to add the group assignment to the policy.
[en] The assignment appears in the Manual Entra ID Group Assignments table.

[en] Select OK to save the provisioning policy.
[en] Users and groups to whom the policy has been applied now have access to the User Experience Sync feature: their personalization, application settings, and application data follow them across sessions on the shared Cloud PCs provisioned by this policy.
[en] You can edit any provisioning policy that does not have an active assignment.

[en] On a policy that already has an active assignment, changing whether User Experience Sync is enabled requires removing and re-adding the group assignment, which deprovisions and reprovisions the affected Cloud PCs. Plan changes to an in-use policy's User Experience Sync setting accordingly.
